Should you do it? Absolutely. I was just like you, got served, was scared to death and didn’t know what to do. No lawyers would call me back either. Plus, I couldn’t afford one anyways.
BUT just because I couldn’t get a lawyer didn’t mean I had to lose this case. I had no idea what I was doing at ALL and I am sure you don’t either.
You need to realize that there is a 95% chance that they do not have the agreement, contract or any credit card statements. No Evidence No Lawsuit. No Win.
The Longer the debt the harder to prove.
People need to realize that most of these Collection Agencies/Junk Debt Buyers are going after a Default Judgment.
They get the Default Judgment because people are too afraid to fight them back or just do not know how to fight them back.
